Expanded paper

I laser cut perforations into a sheet of kraft paper. It's not unlike expanded metal used for non-slip surfaces or some cardboard packing material, but the effect is cool. I'm excited to try this technique on some other materials.

  1. At the 7-11s here in Taipei they sell popcorn in bags made of paper exactly like this -- they're, like, bags cut out of a single piece of paper. I'll have to find one and take a picture.
