Josh has been working to push the UM Bags into new territory. First he draws a design using a computer drafting program and prints it out on paper, then he cuts out the shape and tapes it together. Since the bag is created in its unzipped form, Josh does not know what the final shape will look like. Dozens of paper models are required before felt prototypes can be made, and each new UM Bag shape is a surprise emerging naturally from the construction process.
